C: Oh.
K: I'm sorry, just a kidding. Right. Yeah.
C: Whew! I was wondering if there was a problem or something.
K: Let's hear it.
C: All righty.

C: I can't hear you very well. ×4
C: I cheated and took a breath.
C: I can't hear you very well.

K: Wow! You made a little comment there. That was a honest and beautiful comment there. Thank you so much.

K: Jeff, what did you take on the first?
J: Well, let's see. My answer, "Because she saw her old high school teacher." I'm not sure if she would panic.
K: She sounded pretty happy.
J: Yes, unless she got really bad grades or something. So, I don't this is it. Carolyn, how about No. 2?

C: Well, um... my answer No. 2, "Because her battery was running low." I think it might be a strong candidate because I remember her saying, "My battery is running low."
K: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I heard that too.
C: Yeah, well, so, what about your answer, Ken, No. 3?

K: My answer, No.3 is, "Because she couldn't fine the charger." Yeah, she was going to uh... charge her phone. But she didn't say she couldn't find the charger.
J: That's true.
C: Yeah.
K: I don't think that a cause of her little panic here.

All: So, the right answer is No. 2, "Because her battery was running low."

J: Wonderful!
C: Hey!
K: You made it.
C: Great!
K: You did it.

Write it!

(2-36)
K: 「AなのでBします」これは、どんな形にすればよいでしょうか?
C: Well, the pattern I'd recommend using here is "A so B."

K: So はいつも必要でしょうか?
C: Well, Ken, sometimes we can convey the meaning without having to use the word "so."
K: Okay.
C: So, for example in this case, um... the woman's battery is running low. She is going to 何々.

K: 「電話を充電します」-- 誰の電話か、はっきり英語で言わないといけませんね。
J: Yes. It's her phone, so it would be "charge her phone."

K: これか……します。
J: Well, there's a great pattern to use and it's "be going to 何々." "Going to," so, we would say, in this case, "She's going to charge her phone."

C: Oh, year.
J: As always.
C: Of course.
K: All right.
J: Way to go!
K: Great!

K: Well, that's it for section 2, "talking on and about the phone."
C: Well, I hope everyone got some motivation.
K: I hope so.
J: Oh, I'm sure they did.
K: Good. You know, I'm running out of gas.
C: Likewise.
J: Same here. I need to recharge.
K: OK. So, go relax, everyone, recharge. Charge your phone and get ready for ...
CJ: Section 3.
K: And don't forget to...
J: Keep listening.
C: Keep practicing.
K: And keep on smiling.
