==========
Write It!

◆ AがBに、Cの話をします。
J: There's a couple of ways to say this.
K: OK.
J: You can either use "talks to" or "tells."
K: Uh-huh.
J: So the first pattern would be "A talks to B about C."
K: Uh-huh.
J: And the second one would be "A tells B about C."

◆ 付き合いにくい新しいチームメート
Y: Right.
K: How do you put these things together?
Y: Well, in the dialog, the girl says "new teammate" and in the different sentence, she says "she's hard to get along with." You can put those together by connecting the two ideas with "who is." So, this is how it goes. "Her new teammate who is hard to get along with."

◆ デートをする
J: Well, we use the phrase "go on a date."
K: The first "go on" expression I learned in school was "go on a picnic."
J: Oh, okay. Yeah.
K: This is more romantic than a picnic. Huh?
J: Well, depends. If it's a picnic date...
Y: Oh!
K: Wow!
Y: That sounds nice.
K: That sounds pretty good.
Y: ... kind of healthy... healthy date.

◆ ……することに決めます
Y: Ah, well, in the story, the guy offers the girl "a kaiseki dinner date," which is something she cannot refuse. So, she decides, they both decid to go on a date. So, I would use the expression "decide to 何々."
K: I see.
K: An offer you can't refuse.
Y: Right.

******

J: I know they did.
Y: Yes. I know I can be proud of them.
J: Well done.
K: Alrighty.
