C: Wow!
J: I'm speechless.
C: Yeah.
K: I was just going to say the same thing.

==========
U R the ★
==========
J: All right.
C: Nice.
KCJ: Perfect!

C: Jeff...
J: Uh-huh.
C: You are the star.
J: All right.

C: How did your father meet your mother?
J: She walked into a bar with her friends.
C: And when did he know she was the one?
J: There and then.
C: Oh, so sweet.

==========
Say It!
==========
K: Carolyn-san...
C: Um.
K: Five times in one breath. Will you do it for us?
C: I will.

C: Will you marry me? ×5

K: I hear a lot of "Yes," "Yes," "Yes, "Yes," over there.
C: That's funny. I hear a lot of "No"s.

KCJ: You did that with all your heart.

==========
Write It!
==========
★ XはYにプロポーズします
C: Yeah, the pattern we want to use here is X proposes to Y.
K: Ah, okay.
C: And just make sure you don't forget to put the "to" after "propose."

★ そして、そう……
J: Yes, this pattern usually follows a question and it's used to emphasize the answer. In this particular case, it's Ambrose and Chiyo at a restaurant, and he asks her to marry him.
K: Uh-huh. So, we're all waiting whether she is going to say "yes" or "no."
J: Right. So, the question isn't spoken, but since we're all wondering, this is used to emphasize the answer "yes." And yes, she will marry him.
K: There you go.
J: Yes.

★ 意思があります
K: She'll でよろしいでしょうか?
C: Well, grammatically it's totally fine. It's nothing wrong with it, but here we want to stress the fact that she is going to marry him. So, I think using "will" really stresses that.

C: At a restaurant, Ambrose proposes to Chiyo. They supported each other time after time. And yes, she will marry him.

J: I think so.
C: Awesome!

In Another Situation!
===================
K: So, Carolyn...
C: Yeah.
K: What's another situation gonna (going to) be like this time?
C: Well, now, Romeo and Juliet are in an Italian restaurant.

RJ: To our love!
R: Juliet, when we first met, I knew there and then that you were the one for me.
J: I felt the same way, Romeo.
R: Time after time you supported me.
J: You did the same for me.
R: Juliet, will you marry me?
J: Yes! Oh, yes! I love you with all my heart!
R: There must be a place for us somewhere.
J: In New York?
R: Maybe. Maybe somewhere else. Take my hand.
K: Excuse me, pal lady and gentleman, but I'm afraid you're in the wrong story now.

(pal = 知らない人への呼びかけ)

R: Oh, right.
J: On the wrong side.
K: Westside. Yes.

K: Well, it sounded more like a French restaurant, didn't it?
J: Kind of.

K: Who's sleeping there?

==========
U R the ★
==========
KCJ: Oh, that was wonderful.

J: All right, Carolyn.
C: Uh-huh.
J: You are the star.
C: Great!

J: How did you sleep?
C: I tossed and turned all night.
J: Oh, that's too bad.
C: I kept hearing things.
J: Really? Like what?

==========
Say It!
==========
K: Okay. Three times, three times. Are you ready, Carolyn?
C: I think I got it.
K: Okay.
C: Okay.

C: Rise and shine! ×3 Rise and shine! ×3

K: You did it all of it in one breath?
C: I think I might have cheated.

(might have = ~したかもしれない、一歩間違えば~だった)

K: Wow! Let's not worry about that.
C: Thank you.

C: Hey!
J: Yeah.
KCJ: You are a shining star!
K: Every one of you.

==========
Write It!
==========
★ 妹
C: Well, in English writing, we don't always need to write whether the sister or brother is older or younger. I mean, if it's an important fact, we would write it, but here it isn't really necessary. So, we can just say "sister" here.

★ 雷のせいで
J: Well, in Japanese, it's usually just one word, right?
K: Right.
J: Right? Well, in English, they usually come in a pair, thunder and lightning.
K: Uh-huh.
J: It would be the sound of the thunder and the brightness of the lightning.

J: A man's sister tossed and turned all night because of thunder and lightning. He slept through it. She is going back to sleep.

C: A man's sister tossed and turned all night because of thunder and lightning. He slept through it. She's going back to sleep.

J: Well done.
C: Good! You did it awesomely.

===================
In Another Situation!
===================
K: So, Jeff.
J: Uh-huh.
K: What's another situation gonna (going to) be like today?
J: Well, this time, Urashima Taro and Otohime are in their beachside home.

U: Time to rise and shine! Wake up and smell the ocean.
O: It's too early.
U: How did you sleep, Oto?
O: I tossed and turned all night!
U: Oh, that's too bad. Bad dream?
O: No. Didn't you hear all the thunder and lightning?
U: No, I guess I slept through it. I brought you some seaweed tea.
O: Thanks, I'll have it later. I'm going back to sleep.
U: Oh, okay. I'll go and catch some fish. See you a little later.

J: Kind of big.

J: Sounds funny just even saying it.

J: I don't get so. Why do I get these?

K: Well, was that a good show today?
J: I think so.
C: I believe so. Ken, isn't it time to go?
K: I'm afraid so.
