Venomous と poisonous の違い

Venomous:
Venomous means animals that inject poison using things like fangs or stingers. Examples are snakes, spiders, and scorpions. They use venom to hunt or defend themselves.
Poisonous:
Poisonous describes things that are dangerous if you eat them, touch them, or if they get into your skin. Poisonous creatures usually make or store toxins inside their bodies. Examples are some plants, frogs, and certain fish and insects. Poison is released without the creature actively doing anything and it's often a way for them to protect themselves from predators.

R: Oh, actually recently, I had one. So, I looked in my genkan, and I saw this huge huntsman spider.
(huge huntsman = アシダカグモ a very large, fast-moving spider found in tropical to warm-temperate regions of the world.)
O: Oh.
R: I was terrified because it was so big, bigger than my hand. I thought why was this spider here in Tokyo, in this city. And then I realized it must have come in the box that I had shipped from the countryside.
D: Well, I had a dream that I was a spider once. But it wasn't bad. I looked in the mirror I said, "So, I'm a spider. So what?"
