Dialog 10

K: I used to my college through Somei cemetery where there were so many big Sakura trees and they were "Somei Yoshino."
J: Oh.
K: And this gardener, I'm sure he lived around there, Komagome or somewhere ....
J: Oh, so he's from there.
K: Yeah. He's from there. Yeah.

Challenge!
==========
()
K: Are you ready, Carolyn?
C: All I can do is try my hardest.
K: Oh, sure.
C: I don't know if I will succeed but I will try.
K: That's a very good speech, Carolyn.
C: I'm trying to get out of doing it. I think if I keep talking, maybe you'll forget.
K: OK, I got your soapbox. So, please stand on it.

C: Alrighty.
K: Let's hear it.

                  • -

K: Okay.
J: I think there were several breath in there but ...
C: Jeff, don't say anything...

                • -

C: Hey!
J: All right.
C: Nice.
All: That was really well done.

==========
Write It!
==========
C: Well, we can start with the pattern "so 何々 that."
C: Then we can fill it in by saying "what" is so. So, we can fill it in by using the word "became."
K: Uh-huh.
C: .... would became so 何々 that ... and then add the word "popular." And it'll be "became so popular that."

K: gave birth to ...
J: No, nothing that dramatic.
J: We can just use the simple word "start." So, "It started 何々."

C: We sure do. Let's put it at the beginning of the phrase. And it'll be "the Japanese love affair with Sakura." Or we can also write "the Japanese love affair with cherry blossoms."

        • -

J: I know they did.
C: Always.
J: All right. Beautiful.

Before We Move On!
=================
J: We're thinking.
K: I'm sinking.

K: Fere the silence after "achoo."

All: Breath you, everyone.
K: Great.
C: Nice.
J: Good job.
