R: Hey, everyone, Akino Roza here.
C: Hi, guys, Chris McVay here. Hey, can we finish today's recording quickly? I'm starving.
R: Me too.

(2:49)
O: Curry roux, right? の音、難しいですね。Don't you think so, Chris?
C: Yeah, but it's good practice, huh?
O: Yeah, it is.

(4:26)
R: What? You don't have the textbook yet? You should definitely get it. It's better than curry and rice.

(9:01)
R: OK, guys, let's practice the key sentence together. So, the point here is just to add "right?" at the end.
(9:12)
Ready to practice? Let's go.
"You remembered to bring the curry roux, right?"
(9:23)
Great! Let's try one more time.
"You remembered to bring the curry roux, right?"
(9:34)
Great job.

(14:23)
O: Chris, open the window, will you?
C: Ha? There is no window in the studio. Ah! You're just practicing, right?
O: ちー、ばれた!
R: After four years, you can finally tell “he's practicing,” huh?
C: I'm a bit slow.

(I'm a bit slow. ちょとノロマ、頭が悪い)

R: Hey, everyone, Akino Roza here. Let's get started.
C: Hi, guys, Chris McVay here. Roza, you look kind of distracted today. What's going on?
R: I'm a little worried.
C: About...?
R: Today's lesson.
C: Don't worry. It's a piece of cake.

(4:28)
C: But I AM sure, guys, that you're never distracted when you read our textbook, right?

(14:06)
O: Hey, guys, have you ever been ripped off?
R: I have.
O: Really?
R: Yeah, one time I went to a sushi restaurant, and even though the sushi was not good at all, it was so expensive. Actually, I've had better sushi at a chain restaurant.
C: Hmm... you are truly ripped off, huh?
R: I was.

R: Hey, everyone, Akino Roza here. Do you collect any figures?
C: Hi, guys, Chris McVay here. No, I don't actually, but I have lots of old movie posters.

(8:08)
C: OK, guys, let's practice the key sentence together. Today, I want you to feel the power of using "what" or "how" position of the sentence. Let's start with the straight version. "You have a cool office." This is just a statement of fact. But when you use "what" in front of it, "What a cool office you have," you can feel the emotion there. When you went to the office, your eyes are wide open, and "Buff!" "What a cool office you have." Let's try that together.

"What a cool office you have." Go!

(8:43)
Can you feel the strength of the emotion there? Once more. "What a cool office you have."
(8:52)
That's great. What a great job you did.

(14:08)
O: Hey, guys, let me know the title of the movie that moved you the most.
C: Well, it's an old movie for me. It was called "Dead Poets Society."
今を生きる The story was about the teacher, and being a teacher … I found that very interesting.
R: Well, I like movies with a twist. So, one that I can think of off the top of my head is "今度は愛妻家."
R: What about you, sensei?
O: ハムタロウかな?

(twist ひねりが入っている、どんでん返しがある)
(off the top of my head アイデア・回答などがすぐに、パッと思い付いて)

C: Hi, guys, Chris McVay here. Wow, 200, huh? Amazing.

(14:28)
R: Hey, Chris, did you check those sentences I sent you yesterday?
C: Um... not yet, no.
O: Oh, you are not the British guy in today's exercise, right?
R: How disappointing.
