Monday, June 6

Well, that's his opinion.
Yes, but what do YOU think?

                  • -

So, Katie, what's another situation going to be like this time?
Well, Ken, this time, the passerby is secretive.

                            • -

I'm with RAJIEI TV and we're asking people if they believe in UFOs.
Do you want my honest opinion?
Absolutely.
I have a feeling they're out there.
Would you venture to say they've landed on earth?
That's a loaded question!
I suppose it is.
I'd say it's very likely they've landed here.
Thank you, sir.
You're most welcome.

                        • -

You know, there might be aliens masquerading as humans.
(to masquerade = to pretend to be someone else なりすまし)
OK.
Looking like you and me ... Bye!
Oh! Did you get that, Ken?
Of course, I did. I'm always on top of it.
(on top of it = 状況をコントロールしています)
(be on top of something = to be able to control a situation or deal with it)
Oh!
I didn't see that coming.
This man is right. I have a feeling they’re out there.

So, what's another situation going to be like, Jeff?
They are aliens.
They are?
Uh-huh
(alien = a person or creature from a planet other than Earth / someone who is not a citizen of the country they are living in)

                      • -

Do you believe there's life on other planets?
In my opinion, there has to be life elsewhere. The universe is so vast.
Do you think scientists will discover a planet similar to "zero-quabe"?
Oh, definitely! It's only a matter of time.
That's very optimistic.
(optimistic = positive) ( ⇔ pessimistic)
Well, you know, space technology has grown in leaps and bounds.
So true!
And did you know they caught this radio communication yesterday?
What? What is it?
It's from somewhere ten million light years away.
(ten million light years = 千万光年)
Oh!
It's called Rajio Eikaiwa, something with three aliens talking.
Let's listen to it!
What is the universe coming to?

                        • -

In my opinion, they has to be life elsewhere. Aliens must be listening to Rajio Eikaiwa elsewhere.
Yay!

Wednesday, June 8

What does it have to do with the Bigfoot?
Uh... We'll find out.
OK.

                                    • -

So, what's another situation going to be like, Katie?
Well, Ken, this time, the passerby finds the reporter's question laughable.

                        • -

Excuse me, sir. Do you believe Bigfoot is real?
(Bigfoot = a large creature with hair all over its body and a shape like a human that some people believe lives in the mountains of North America)
Bigfoot? No way!
Some people claim they've found Bigfoot's tracks.
Those are only claims.
What do you think of this photograph of Bigfoot?
I find it hard to believe that this is a real photograph.
So you think this photo has been doctored.
There's no doubt about it! And it's a poor doctoring as well.
So, you don't believe Bigfoot exists?
No way!
Yes way!
Who was that? (Who is that?)
Yours truly!
Run!!!

                    • -

Oh, scary.

Well, lady and gentleman...
Uh-huh.
I find it hard to believe that this is the month of June already.
I know. But there's no doubt about it.
Where does the time go?

Thursday, June 9

Hmm...
That was easy.

                              • -

So, Jeff…
Uh-huh.
What's another situation going to be like today?
Oh, you are going to like this.
Oh, yeah, I will. But what is it?
This is a scene from the opera called "The Possibility of Nessie."
Sounds like some avant-garde.
(avant-garde = アバンギャルド music, art, etc. is very modern and may shock people because it is so different from what has gone before)

                            • -

What's your take on the Loch Ness monster?
(Loch Ness = a lake in the Scottish highlands; the largest body of fresh water in Great Britain)
I wouldn't rule out that such a creature exists.
What makes you say that?
Well. Nessie might not be a monster. It could be an undiscovered species.
That could very well be.
And the Loch Ness is a huge deep mysterious lake.
You've made a believer out of me.

                    • -

Oh, I love opera.
Especially, when you are in it.
Well, no. I love opera.
Well, what makes you say that?
It's so dramatic.
Oh, yeah. I'm going to have curry today.
Or... beef stew.
All right. There it is.
(There it is.
