(0:14)
R: Hey everyone, Akino Roza here. Hey Chris, are you from Oxford?
C: Am I from Oxford? No. I just went to university there, but I'm from Liverpool, way up in the north.

=====================
◆ Feel English / Practice
=====================
(8:56)
C: Today, let's look at ways to express results, such as the to-infinitive or words like "eventually," "finally," "at last."
OK? Let's go. "I rushed to the station, only to find the last train had already left."
Once more, "I rushed to the station, only to find the last train had already left."

R: Next example, "He left England, never to return."
Let's try one more time. "He left England, never to return."

C: OK, keeping going, "He eventually changed the way we see the universe."

(keeping going = keep goingの現在分詞/present participle of keep going)

OK, last time, "He eventually changed the way we see the universe."
And one more, "Finally, I managed to get an appointment with a specialist."

OK, and another variation, "at last."
"At last, I managed to get an appointment with a specialist."

(10:27)
C: OK, well done guys, great practice.
R: You guys were awesome.

(wreck = ボロ車)

(0:22)
R: Hey everyone, Akino Roza here.
C: Hi guys, Chris McVay here. Roza, can I ask you something?
R: Sure, go ahead. I hope I can answer.
C: Just practicing.
R: Me too.

==================================
◆ Right after the Japanese translation part
==================================
(3:48)
C: What's going on with our textbook? Nothing special, well, apart from the fact that it's getting better and better.

=====================
◆ Feel English / Practice
=====================
(9:16)
C: OK guys, let's practice. Today, let's focus on phrases that express the aim or purpose of something.

R: And remember, think in English in order to make the most of your practice.

C: Good point. Here we go. "I went to the shop to buy a phone."
So here, just the simple to-infinitive expresses the purpose. Try another one,
"I went to the shop to check out my favorite band's new album."
And our last one, "I went to the shop return my purchase."

R: Let's continue. "We checked in early in order to get good seats."
And let's try one more variation of this.
"We checked in early so as to get good seats."

C: Carrying on, "I wanted to email him so I could ask for his help again."
One more time, "I wanted to email him so I could ask for his help again."

R: And the last couple, "The purpose of this study is to ~."
One more time, "The purpose of this study is to ~."

And our last example, "I'm studying English for the purpose of traveling around the world."
That was a bit long so let's try it again. "I'm studying English for the purpose of traveling around the world."

(11:18)
C: Hmm.. That's a good aim.
R: It is, and you guys did great.
C: Excellent job!

(14:19)
O: Hey guys, what do you do to get rid of your stress?
C: Well, two things help me. One is sport, and the other is cooking. Roza?
R: Well, one thing that always brings my mood up is delicious sushi.

===========
◆ Opening
===========
(0:25)
C: Hi guys. Chris McVay here. Absolutely, nothing to add to that. Let's get started.

=====================
◆ Feel English / Practice
=====================
(9:37)
C: OK guys, practice, practice, practice time. Today, let's look at the variety of uses of if clauses. They can be used to express different levels of pressure. They can be used to give advice, and also to make suggestions.

So, it's really useful to practice these. Let's begin.
"If you don't study seriously, you'll fail the exam."

OK, this is an example of light pressure.
And one more example of light pressure, "If we don't book the flights soon, there'll be no seats left."

R: Continuing on. "If I catch you sleeping on the job again, I'll fire you."
"If I catch you sleeping on the job again, I'll fire you."

C: OK, now let's give some advice, "If you stop smoking, you'll be healthier."
And one more which we use a lot, "If you listen to Radio Eikaiwa, Your English will improve."

R: And our last example, "What if we take Jonnie to a theme park for his birthday?"
Let's try that one more time, "What if we take Jonnie to a theme park for his birthday?"

(11:22)
C: What if we wrap this up, Roza?
R: I think that's a marvelous idea.

(14:13)
O: Hey Chris, what do you mean exactly when you say, "If you practice in front of a mirror, you will improve your presentation skills"?
C: Well, you know, facial expressions and gestures are very important when it comes to making good presentation. So, a mirror can help you check these and make you look less robotic.
O: Uh-huh.
R: But Sensei, be careful, if you practice in front of a mirror, you might break the mirror.
O: Uh, yes, the mirror will be impressed.

◆ Opening
===========
(0:20)
R: Hey everyone, Akino Roza here.
C: Hi everyone, Chris McVay here, just finishing slurping my noodles.
R: Well, while that's normal in Japan, it's not normal on Radio Eikaiwa.
C: Sorry.

=====================
◆ Feel English / Practice
=====================
(9:56)
C: OK guys, are you ready to practice? Today, let's focus on ways to express negative conditions like "if not" or "unless" or "else," "otherwise."
OK, let's go. "Unless you wear a jacket and tie, you cannot enter this hotel."

Hmm, this has happened to me a few times.
"Unless you wear a jacket and tie, you cannot enter this hotel."

And one more, "Let's meet outside the entrance, unless it's raining."
"Let's meet outside the entrance, unless it's raining."

R: Let's continue. "I'll be surprised if you don't pass the exam."
Let's try that one more time, "I'll be surprised if you don't pass the exam."

C: OK, continuing on, "Hurry up, or we'll miss the last train."
"Hurry up, or else we'll miss the last train."

And the final one using "otherwise."
"You'd better start right now. Otherwise, you'll never finish in time.
Once more for a good luck, "You'd better start right now. Otherwise, you'll never finish in time."

(11:51)
C: Great job.
R: That was a wonderful practice session.

==========
◆ Ending
==========
(14:19)
O: Hey guys, what did you eat for breakfast today?
C: Well, I'm rather boring because I have almost the same thing every day. I have cereals with banana, strawberries and blueberries. There you go.
O: Luxurious, isn't it?
R: Well, I don't usually eat breakfast. Today, I had a light smoothie. What about you, Sensei?
O: I always eat たまごマヨネーズサンドイッチ.
