J: Uh, this word, you can say it two different ways, but you can only write it one way, uh, "candidates(カンディデッツ)" or "candidates(カンディデイツ)."

J: Right. In this dialog, Lion is his name.
K: Uh, okay.
J: So, it's a capital L-i-o-n, no "the."

◆ AはBに立候補することを勧めます。
C: Well, how about "encourage"? Um, which is a good pattern to remember it. "A encourages B to 何々."
K: recommendというのはどうですか？
C: Oh, yeah. I mean "recommend" is okay, but to my ears, it has a slightly different nuance compare to "encourage." "Encourage"... doesn't it feel more supportive and more warm and friendly?
K: Oh, okay.
C: So, I think it ... maybe ... is a bit more appropriate here.
