So, what's another situation going to be like, Katie?
Well, Ken, this time, two sloths are talking.

(an animal that lives in trees and moves very slowly. It lives in South and Central America.)
(slobs = 薄汚い人、ずぼらな人、someone who is lazy or messy)

                      • -

I'm the fastest sloth in the world.
I wouldn't be so sure about that.
I bet I could beat you in a race.
You wish!
I can reach up to three meters per hour. Watch this.
Ha! That's nothing. I can go five meters per hour.
I'll race you to the next tree.
You're on! Ready, set, go!

No wonder they are called "slowps."
We are called "sloths," man, not "slowps."
Man, you have a problem with your English.
Story of my life, you know.

(Story of my life. = 人生そんなもんさ)

                      • -

The story of his life. I would like to hear about that.
Yeah, right now. We've got time.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Um…, maybe next time.

Wow!
That was fast.
Do you know why it's called weather?
Why?
Because we never know whether it's going to rain or shine.
Oh.

                  • -

So, what's another situation going to be like, Jeff?
Two senior citizens are enjoying using a smartphone app.

                          • -

What's the weather forecast for today?
Sunny skies with gentle winds out of the southwest.
That can't be right. It's cloudy and starting to drizzle.

(drizzle = 小雨が降る to rain in a very light way)

There is a chance of thundershowers this afternoon.
Well, I just heard thunder.
I heard it too! There's a slight chance of hail.

(hail = ひょう small balls of ice fall from the sky like rain)

It's starting to hail.
Hail, hail, scattered downpours are expected later on in the day!
Oh, things are happening faster.
Right.
So much for the sunny weather!

(So much for = 〜はもはやこれまでだ)

Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it.
Oh, well said. (うまいこと言うわね。良く言った!)
Sadly, not by me. I heard it on Rajiei.
(悲しいけど僕が言ったんじゃないんだ not by me = 僕が言った言葉ではない)

Oh, I love that show, and that Ken is just really something, isn't he?
(あの番組、大好きなのよ。それにあのケンって本当にすごくない?)

Yes, he is.

                        • -

Well, time to go.
That can't be right.
C'est la vie. (フランス語「これも人生」)

So, what's another situation going to be like, Katie?
Oh, it's a scene from a musical.

                                    • -

I haven't seen Lance lately. Does he still work here?
You didn't hear? Mr. Mason fired him last month.
I saw that coming. He's in la-la land. He needs to get more serious about work.

(be in la-la land = 〈米俗〉ボーッとしている、ぼんやりしている、自分の世界に入っている they're in their own world)

He did get serious. He's now president of Dodo Land Realty.
Really? Wow! I never thought he'd amount to much.

(amount to much = 大したものだ、重要な意味を持つ、役に立つ)

The first time I met him, I knew he would go places.
I didn't.
I did.
I didn't.
I did. I knew he would go places.

                        • -

Bad news.
Oh!
Lady and gentleman, time to go.
We saw that coming.

Thigs are changing.
Hmm...
They certainly are.
Well, I hope they can keep this park.
Me too.
I hope so too.

                    • -

So, Jeff...
Uh-huh.
What's another situation going to be like?
Well, this time, they are a dog and a cat.
Nice!

                            • -

Bow-wow. There's the sign I was telling you about.
White Springs Mall coming soon.
Construction is slated to begin in about a year.
That will never happen. Building a mall here would violate (meowlate) the zoning laws.
The developers are trying to change this area into a commercial bone, I mean, zone.
Well, we don't need another mall. I like this quiet beautiful (meowtiful) park.
I agree with you a hundred percent.
Meow.
Woof.

            • -

Well, let's take this another situation to Broadway.
That will never happen.
I didn't think so either.
