C: Well, yeah, there are two ways we can write this, um... as far as the order goes. For the first way, let's follow the Japanese order and it'll be "a cat called Shadow."
C: And then for the second way, we can reverse it, right? Instead of "a cat called Shadow," we'll put the word "the" after Shadow, and it'll be "Shadow, the cat."
C: Doesn't that sound more dramatic?
K: Yeah, very.

J: Well, Carolyn explained it very nicely. The first way would be "a dog called Pepper." And the second way is "Pepper, the dog."

C: Yeah, that's right. We're gonna use the very helpful idiom "ask for it."
K: OK.
C: Um... but we wanna use the present progressive here. So, that's right, "asking for it."

C: Well, we want to explain how she is asking for it.

C: So, we'll use the word "by" here.
K: Uh-huh.
C: And we'll connect it by saying "be asking for it by 何々ing."
