K: Yeah, but the horse came back to life.

C: Yeah, he stayed with him, and took care of it, and...
K: He was praying for him.

C: The horse opened its eyes, and came back to life.
K: And they went to this castle town.

K: And the first thing he said was "Let's find food.”

C: I think for both of them, right? Probably not just for the man, for the horse.

K: Where he would go for the food, for whom. We'll find out more about that person.

J: But I also wonder how he's going to obtain food because he doesn't have any money anymore.

J: I don't know.
K: Or he gets on the horse, and rides to the NHK Broadcasting Center, and meet us and thank us, and…
J: Oh, yeah.
K: You know, we go to dinner and...
C: Oh! I kind of like that ending.
J: We'll provide the food, okay. All right.

C: Well, once in a castle town they make their way to a huge mansion.
K: OK.
C: And they go straight to the stables there.
J: Yeah, he's... once again he's showing his kindness by hoping to find some food for the horse first.
K: So he asked for some hay. Oh, my.
C: Yeah, he spoke to, what was that, this stable hand there, right?
K: Yeah, and I think the stable hand was really impressed or surprised to see that horse.
C: Yeah, he ran away to get the owner of that wealthy estate to come and take a look at the horse.
K: Yeah.
J: So both of the stable hand and the owner are really impressed with this horse.
C: Yes.
K: Yeah.
C: Yes, and he... so he invites the man into his huge mansion. You know, and... and wants to buy the horse from him.
K: And how much did he offer?
C: Two thousand ryo.
K: Oh, my!
J: Yeah!
K: And the man passes out.
C: Yeah, because he's so shocked.
J: And when he wakes up, who does he see? But the young lady that was on the road. Anyway, to make a long story short.
C: Estate owner wants the horse, and he also wants the man to marry his daughter.
J: That's right.
C: And take over the estate.
J: Become his successor.
K: My goodness.

C: It was well worth it.

K: What's the moral of the story?
J: Well, I would say it's to be kind to everyone or be kind, uh...
C: Yeah.
J: And humble. So those are good trade to develop, I would say.
C: And noting you expect anything when you are kind...
J: No.
C: But it always pays to be nice to people. Even if you get nothing in return, it's always nice to be, you know, thoughtful to other people. And I would think...
K: How nice! Yeah.
J: Yes.
C: And this man was very lucky because he was very kind and he got a lot in return.
K: He sure did. He certainly did.
J: Not everyone will get that much.
C: No.
J: But I think good things happen to nice people.
C: I think so too.
J: Yeah.
K: Yeah, I read somewhere that asking for help ...
C: Yeah.
K: ... is a part of your strength. So,
J: Really?
K: I believe it.
C: Yeah, it's not a weakness, I guess, it's the ability you wanna (want to) be able to ask people for help.
J: Well, the fact that everyone will need help sometime during their life.
C: Yeah.
J: Everyone does.

J: Everyone will need, and I think, those times you can ask for help, and then when your situation improves and then you can help others. Yeah.
