そこでキャロリンさんは笑いながら、「あー、良かった。この物語の2人が別れなくて」 と言うと。顕先生は、「Not yet. （まだ、どうなるかわからによ）」と言っている。遠山顕先生がスキットをお書きになっているのでしょうから、この2人の将来は、顕先生の手の中にあるのでしょう。
生徒さんからの質問より：
今回のダイアログでは、電話で会話をしていて、「声が途切れている」「スピーカーに切り替える」というセンテンスが出てきていました。「声が途切れて聞こえるときに、スピーカーに切り替えると、よく聞こえるようになるのでしょうか？」という質問がありました。
私が思うに、この場面では、声が途切れているので、さらに音声をよくするためにスピーカーに切り替えたのではなく、単純に、何か仕事をしていて、手をあけたかったのかなと思います。

これらのセンテンス、使えるので覚えておきましょう。私もアメリカから電話がかかってきたとき良く使っています。電波の調子が悪い時があるのですよねえ。本当に声が途切れ途切れになります。そして、手がふさがっているとき、PCを打ちながら会話したいときは、スピーカーに切り替えることがあります。
